charges and magnetism. Isn't it similar to two currents flowing in the opposite direction and cause of that shouldn't they attract each other.??

For charged species, when they move freely in space, electrostatic force is dominant over magnetic force between them. Hence by Coulomb's law, since they are like charges, they repel.
